The School of Online Journalism and Online Business 15.09.2009
Faculty of Political Science of the University of Zagreb and the Institute for New Media and e-democracy organizing a School of Online Journalism and Online Business.

The Program is intended for managers in media industry, journalists in the press, on the radio, television and other conventional and non-conventional media, graphic and artistic directors of issue. The aim of the School is to provide training about online journalism and online business. At the time of crisis of printed, but also other media, it will be pointed out to the relevance of migration from „the old“ to new media and the participants will be made familiar with the problems encountered when creating an efficient business model of online journalism. Lecturers are renowned Croatian experts in online journalism and business operations.

Program managers are: prof. Nenad Prelog, PhD and Domagoj Bebić

Program duration: 80 school hours

Classes for the first generation of participants are scheduled for the beginning of November 2009, and they will be held on Fridays and Saturdays at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Zagreb.

Participants who successfully complete the School program will obtain the university certificate on the completed ˝ School of Online Journalism and Online Business˝. The price of program per participant amounts to HRK 10,000 with possible discounts and installment payment, in coordination with the organizers.

A prerequisite to enroll in this program is a completed vocational university program, a university degree or three years of work experience in the profession.

  • Editing online media (new rules, new knowledge)
  • Modeling of new media (graphics, animation, flash, XML)
  • How to achieve high ranking on the browsers (search engine optimization)
